So it's been awhile since I've had a decent haircut, since the beginning of the summer at least. I feel like since I cut my family's hair for free that somehow I should be getting free haircuts as well. Unfortunately for me no one else in my family spent 14 months in school gaining a cosmetology license. My solution, teach my sister in 14 minutes what I know (or at least enough to cut my hair in a strait line haha) I went over tonight and cut my bro-in-laws hair, then my sister (then my nephew begged for a haircut but we distracted him with candy coated pretzels) then my sister agreed to give it a go and attempt to cut off the nasty ends of my hairs. She did a decent job, even managed layers, and it only took her about an hour. ;) I may even trust her enough to do it again sometime.
Speaking of licenses... I need to renew my drivers license! I keep putting it off til I look nice so hopefully I won't be stuck with the ridiculous pic of me sneezing or looking totally demented for the next 5 years. Then I remembered, in a few short months I'll be a CO resident (if all goes as planned) and I'll be getting a new license! woot! so who cares if I'm in the middle of a sneeze for this one, I only have to put up with it for 3ish months. Even with this revelation I still haven't made it to the DMV to get a new one... I have til Jan 11th, whats the rush people? Now that I have this snazzy new haircut perhaps I'll find time to make it down there within the next couple weeks.
Oh, so about moving to CO. An important piece of business I need to take care of before I move... I need to find a job. which means I need to apply to want ads... which means I need to finish updating my resume... and make sure I have references... and write a cover letter, or 7. sheesh, so much with applying for a new job... is it worth it??? um YES, living in the mountains for a year, it's totally worth it! =)
I spose I should go work on that while I have energy yet, though opening up Microsoft Word to work on it is suddenly draining my energy... tomorrow, tomorrow I'll work on it... I promise. ;)

Whoa, my bad.
So I realized I haven't posted anything for awhile (not that is matters cause I'm pretty sure no one actually reads this blog. haha) but here goes a quick catch up...
My roomie and I embarked on the amazing adventure to find a real live tree for christmas. After going through some rigamarole to find the appropriate vehicle to tote our tree find back to our dwelling place (we ended up with my brothers jacked up, red neck pick-up truck) we headed out to the tree farm. 30 minutes out of town. Their website said they were open til 8 pm, their website lied... we came back to town and found a tree stand that was open, on the third try. Found a tree, got hit on by a 5'6" highschooler, jammed the tree into our apartment then returned my brothers truck. It took 45 minutes to cut off the base of the tree (we later found out my roomies dad gave us the wrong saw, we're gonna blame that on him and not our lack of knowing how to saw a tree stump off) then another hour of moving furniture around our apartment to find just the right location for our amazingly bushy friend for the next month.![]() |
| Chaos... where should this tree go? |
Side note-> why in the WORLD is it so insanely hard to add pictures to your post!?!?! I battled with these for 20 minutes to get them in the right spot!!!
~oiy technology!!

Ok, enough about the christmas tree escapades.... what else is new....
So since no one I'm aware of actually reads this blog I can spill the beans on here.
I'M MOVING TO COLORADO!!!
(well, it's like 80% sure. still working out a few small details...)
Seriously, how could you NOT just LOVE this?
Yep, I'm quitting this amazing job I have here (a job isn't everything in life), leaving my church I've attended for my entire life to this point (sad, I'll miss being recognized in the halls), saying farewell to my family and friends (this one is the kicker!) and headed 7 hours to the mountains of CO! (wait! what am I thinking leaving all this behind!?!?!) It's scary as all get out! But I'm almost 26, lived in the same 35 mile radius my entire life, always attended the same church, had the same friends, known where my life is headed. I'm ready for change. I'm ready to step out from under the safety net of my parents and live life as an adult! fend for myself, make new friends, force change.

| It's only a 7 hr drive. Not bad, I'll be home all the time... or at least that's the plan. |
Sounds a little crazy I know but I hope it will force me to grow closer to my Savior and depend wholly on HIM! round here I depend on Him mostly but I know I have people around to fall back on if things get to scary or intimidating. So that's the big news! If you think of me pray for wisdom. That I'll find a job, a place to live and seek HIM wholly in this. If I'm not to go or making a mistake (leaving all the goodness I have here in this cushy life of mine) that He will make it painstakingly obvious. Thanks, I'd appreciate it much!
Now, I've battled enough with my laptop for one night. off to bed. Night. =)
