a little this, a little that...

So it's been awhile... what is new?
Well we are officially in and settled into our new house.  It's pretty fantastic.  Still working on hanging pictures and finding spaces for a few random item but all in all I'd say we are settled and love it.  I'm looking forward to taking full advantage of our big backyard this summer, AND the wonderful deck!  We do have some nice dirt patches that we are trying to coax some grass into taking root, it's not working.  I threw the seed and out and have been pretty consistent in watering it... however, it looks like the seed is just drying out and not doing anything.  Well, I'll keep watering it and hope and pray that something happens.

I'm soooo looking forward to wakeboarding this summer.  Counting down the days in fact.  It's gonna be great!

Last weekend my friends and I took and impromptu roadtrip to SD.  Why SD you ask?  That BadLands of course! silly.  We left at midnight on friday and arrived about 7:30 am.  We then crawled around (well Chris and Fred climbed and crawled, Natalie and I stayed at the bottom and took pictures.)  for about 2 hrs or so.  Then we headed off to Wahl drug where we had breakfast and wondered around the shops for and hour or better.  Then we piled back in the car and started the 7 hr drive home.  Some people have said we are crazy for doing it but I say, we made a memory.  I mean I was stuck in a car with 3 of my closest friends for 14 hours, it was fun.  Other than the leg cramping and the severe lack of quality sleep. ;)

What else you ask?  Not much, work, church sleep... that's pretty much my life.  It's fun and keeps me busy.  Though I would welcome a change, here is where God has me and things seem to be working out ok. =)

real quick like

Ok, I'm gonna try to keep this short and sweet as I am operating on "borrowed" internet. =)  We will have our very own internet shortly but with the craziness of moving, unpacking and organizing  it's one small detail that has not yet been attended to. 

Have you ever noticed that no matter where you move, across town or across the country there are so many unexpected exspenses that just seem to come out of nowhere.  Example, in my lovely new home there is minimal storage in my bathroom (one little tiny under the sink cupboard, seriously, I'm a girl. I barely fit my hairbrushes and combs under there) so I had to buy an over the toilet cabinet (which turned out to be alot more work and money that I had originally planned, but that's a whole other story).  Then our kitchen, not so many cabinets in there.  We managed to get all our dishes and utensils put away (with the help of an amazing corner cabinet my sis-in-law no longer needed) but we have no where to put all our food.  Perhaps we just shouldn't eat?  That would solve it I spose. =)  Oh and then my clothing closets, no doors, I had to buy curtains to cover those.  And of of course one panel just wouldn't due, I had to buy two for each... four total. oish!

And of course there is the new morning schedule to deal with.  Not only is there another person in our home to work around but my drive time has quadrupled, joy...  I'm not a morning person to start with, having to get up 20 minutes earlier is no good.  But so far I haven't been late to work (so far I've only had to go to work one day. hahaha)

Well, aside from the craziness and adjusting to a new location, new roommate and new schedule I really am liking the new place.  It's cozy and oh so roomy!  I'll get some pics up once it's no longer a maze of boxes around here and some semblence of order has been established.

Since it is now 11:35 and I have to leave here in 8 short hours I should probably head off to bed.  No more internet highjacking tonight. =)
